Brian was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina. That was where he lived until he moved to Charleston to begin college at the Citadel in 2009. There he was a member of the SOCON Champion baseball team in 2009. He graduated in 2013 with a degree in Business Administration and went to work in the logistics field. In 2015, he transitioned to a sales role for Verizon Wireless and a few years after that, got his first taste of the construction/roofing industry when he went to work for New Beginnings Construction. The same company that won “Charleston’s Best Roofer” in 2020 and 2021. After eclipsing the $1 million dollar mark in 2018 in retail roofing sales, he decided he wanted a change of scenery and got his Merchant Mariner Credential and went to work as a Deckhand for Vane Brothers. He worked on tugboats from Florida to New York from 2019 to early 2020. When COVID struck he was let go, but quickly found work back in the construction industry as a remote estimator/supplementer for HailPro, LLC out of Minnesota. This was where he discovered his passion for insurance work. So much so that instead of being behind a computer, he wanted to get his hands dirty and start helping the people in his own community. He took a position with Oberle Roofing Company in Charleston and hit the streets trying to help as many people as possible. He helped Oberle Roofing Company surpass the $3 million dollar mark in only their 2nd year in business. This road map led him to finally start realizing his dream of owning his own Roofing Company. With this dream, combined with a passion of helping others, 843 Roof, LLC was born January of 2023. With the many different roles he has had with his previous companies, he has gained the knowledge and experience to truly create a company capable of taking the Charleston and surrounding areas by storm.
During COVID, his daughter Skye was also born, and she is the light of his life. In his free time he plays and coaches a men’s league baseball team, and he is an NCAA umpire in the South Atlantic Conference and Conference Carolinas. Baseball is in his blood. He also enjoys boating in the Charleston Harbor, fishing and hanging with his pup Jerky.
